However, Avnet is also actively involved in drawing attention to noteworthy quality efforts outside the company. Avnet was actively involved in developing a new award designed to identify and showcase individual organizational processes for the Arizona State Quality Award Program. Not only did it help design the award, but it also promoted it to organizations statewide, sending mailings and sponsoring meetings to raise awareness.

Additionally, Avnet is hosting the award reception ceremony that will recognize one of its clients, Boeing Mesa Aerospace Group, as the recipient of the 2003 Arizona Pioneer Quality Award.
