PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), received three platinum and five gold Channel Marketing Awards from the National Electronics Distributors Association (NEDA).
NEDA is a not-for-profit trade association representing distributors of electronic components and their manufacturer-suppliers. Dedicated to the enhancement of the distributor-manufacturer relationship, NEDA represents companies involved in the distribution of electronic components and parts, computer and computer peripheral components and test, measurement and control equipment and their manufacturer-suppliers.
The NEDA Channel Marketing Awards acknowledge distributor members' outstanding marketing efforts for the year. Avnet received recognition in eight out of eleven categories for 2007, including platinum awards for the company's corporate newsletter, EM Power; corporate capabilities brochure, Avnet First; and Web promotion, Avnet Electronics Marketing Website: www.em.avnet.com.
Avnet also received gold awards for image advertising, integrated marketing surrounding the X-Fest 2007 event; corporate line card, company Web site and industry advocacy through its Support Across The Board image campaign.
