July 30, 2009 - Avnet Electronics Marketing Receives Sales Growth Award from KEMET

PHOENIX -- The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) has received the KEMET Charged Sales Growth Award for the second consecutive year. The award recognizes Avnet for achieving the highest sales growth for KEMET products in the Americas for KEMET’s fiscal 2009 ending in March.

KEMET’s surface-mount and through-hole capacitor technologies can be found in many computer, telecommunication, automotive, military/aerospace, medical, industrial/instrumentation applications, and have been part of the Apollo moon landing, the Patriot missile, and the Mir and International Space Stations. KEMET capacitors were also present in both the Pathfinder probe and the Sojourner rover during their historic exploration of Mars.
